Breakfast at the hotel. In the afternoon, we will start the city tour around Manaus. We will visit its most important attractions such as the Municipal Market, where we will enjoy the day of the Amazonian people; Heliodoro Balbi Square (Police Square), Rio Negro Palace, learning about some of Manaus history; Amazon Theatre, symbol of the height of the rubber boom.
The Amazon Theatre was opened on December 31, 1896, being the most important work built at the peak of the rubber boom and the most important cultural and artistic heritage. This building works as an opera house, where people can enjoy local artistic attractions, both national and international. We will also visit the Republic Square, and so learn about the architectonic history of buildings and monuments.
Rio Negro Palace was the residence of a rich salesman up to 1917, when it became the Amazon Government quarters up to 1996. Today exhibitions and chamber recitals take place there.
Adolpho Lisboa Municipal Market was built on the shore of Negro River with a clear art nouveau style and opened in 1882. The architecture of the building can be compared to Las Hales market, in Paris, which has already disappeared. Nowadays it is a shopping center of local products.
After midday, we will set out from the Tropical Hotel. We will meet the crew, and learn about the sailing routes. We will have a welcome toast before starting our big adventure along the Amazon River. The trip along the Amazon River starts passing by Manaus up to Xiborena region.
We will enjoy a canoe trip and get to know the igarapés so we can learn about this region: juta, garden product market, rubber tree, as well as the Amazon forest and giant vitória régias in lakes. We will be back after sunset to enjoy the nightlife so we can see the alligators. We will go on sailing up the Amazon River (Solimões River) up to Janauacá Lake. At night dinner will be waiting for us.

Amazon Fauna - Caboclos (natives)
At sunrise, we will sail on a canoe to enjoy the Amazon fauna, especially the birds. We will see Hoatzins and lots of Egrets and Cormorants (birds). Then breakfast will be waiting for us. We will visit the lake inhabitants (caboclos) who feed on manioc plantation, fish, different kinds of fruit, rubber tree, chestnut, wood and other extracted products.
Then we will do trekking into the Amazon forest. At midday we will have lunch. We can go fishing piranha and other kinds of fish. Once we have had dinner, we will go see the fauna to enjoy nocturnal birds, cobras, rats, sloths and toads. We will go on sailing down the Amazon River.

We will start our journey sailing on a canoe to enjoy the birds in the Lake Janauari Ecological Park and its surroundings. Then we will have breakfast. We will sail towards Manaus and, along the way, we will see the floating docks, municipal market, former leather house built on piles (palafitos). We will be back to the Tropical Hotel before midday.
Again we will set out from the Tropical Hotel to go on with our second journey: sailing along Negro River. We will sail up Pagodão River, which is a tributary of Negro River. We will sail on a canoe until sunset, and enjoy the nocturnal animals and the changes that occurred in the forest when night comes. Then we will get back for dinner.

Anavilhanas Archipelago
After breakfast, we will start our walk into the Amazon forest to enjoy the flora. We will visit the house of “Caboclos” to learn about the customs in the region. After lunch, we will go on sailing along Anavilhanas Archipelago.
This is the second biggest archipelago of the fluvial islands in the world, which is more than 1,000 miles from the ocean. After dinner we will go on with our sailing route. At night we will sail on a canoe and see alligators, toads, cobras and other animal species.

Villa de Novo Airão - Playa Grande - Acajatuba Lake
We will visit Villa de Novo Airão, known for its ship builders, the market and other local activities. After lunch, we will sail towards Playa Grande or another white sand beach. If the conditions are suitable, we will see the sand vegetation.
We will sail on a canoe along Acajatuba Lake to enjoy the local flora (rubber tree, chest nut tree and palm trees). We can also enjoy piranha fishing. After dinner we will walk around to see some alligators. Then we will go on sailing.

Confluence of the waters
We will head for Lake Janauary. Before the sun rises, we will sail on a canoe to see some birds and discover the forest and vitórias régias, only during the suitable season. Then we will have breakfast, and we will go on sailing up to the confluence of the waters. Finally we will start our journey back to the starting point: Manaus.

Cruises Amazon Clipper uses ships of exceptional comfort and has a relation price-quality very recommendable. The “Amazon Angler”, “Selly Clipper II” and “Selly Clipper” are classic ships of the traditional line on the Amazon River. These navies were designed to sail specially the Amazon River, making the most of the years of vast experience making this boats ideals to travel this waters.
They have private bathroom and air conditioner during the night. The social life in the Amazon Clipper takes part in the deck room. There is a bar also, a dining room, a book collection and an incredible view. The kitchen of the ships is highly equipped and with a formidable supply of mineral water. The superficial hulls of these ships make us sail in hard zones that other ships of biggest size like the Iberostar Grand Amazon cannot entry.
They have canoes to make esplanades on the lagoons, streams and flooded groves. The ships have radio VHF – Maritime Band communication equipment and the navigation strengthen by depth sounding lines, compass and satellital maps.
