Cuzco (City Tour and Neighboring Ruins)
Reception at Cuzco airport and transfer to the hotel. We will get acclimatized drinking the traditional “Mate de Coca.”

In the afternoon, we will visit Cuzco city, PLAZA DE ARMAS, THE CATHEDRAL and the KORICANCHA Complex in honor of the “Sun,” main God of the Inca Empire.

Then we will stroll along the majestic SACSAYHUAMAN Fortress next to Cuzco, QUENQO Amphitheater, PUCA-PUCARA Fortress, and TAMBOMACHAY Archeological Complex known as Inca's Baths.

Cuzco / Mollepata / Soraypampa
We will leave very early towards Mollepata (2,950 m.a.s.l.), where we will have breakfast and then start the trekking.

After lunch, we will go to Soraypampa (3,850 m.a.s.l.), where we will make the first camp and enjoy a well-deserved dinner. We will spend the night in Soraypampa.

Soraypampa / Wayrapata
Breakfast. We will start our trekking towards the Salkantay pass at 4,600 m.a.s.l., one of the most beautiful parts of the itinerary, and enjoy majestic sights of the snowy peaks of SALKANTAY (6,271 m.a.s.l.) as well as the Vilcabamba mountain range.

After lunch we will go on the trekking towards the town of Wayrapata to camp and have dinner. We will spend the night in there.

Wayrapata / La Playa
Breakfast. Again we will get up very early and start the trekking, appreciating the diversity of flora including medicine plants and orchids, leaving behind the towns of Arrayanpata, Chaullay and Collpapampa.

Here we will enjoy the thermal baths and have a rest during the trekking. Then we will have lunch and go on walking to La Playa, where we will camp. We will have dinner and spend the night in there.

La Playa / Aguas Calientes
Here we will also get up early to start the trekking to the town of Santa Teresa, where we will have breakfast. We will go on walking to La Oroya, the hanging bridge that will let us cross the turbulent Urubamba River, and finally, get to the Hydroelectric Plant to have lunch and a short rest.

In the afternoon, we will go on walking to get to the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will accommodate in a hotel. We will spend the night in there.

Aguas Calientes / Machu Picchu / Cuzco
Breakfast. As usual we will get up very early and take the first bus to MACHU PICCHU so we can get there at sunrise and enjoy it in this magical and mysterious place.

Once the control has been made, we will start our visit. Firstly we will go to the Agricultural Sector (platforms) and then the Urban Sector (religious and military constructions, and residential buildings), where we can see the Temple of the Sun, the Inti Watana, the Temple of the Three Windows and the Sacred Rock.

We will have the opportunity to take some pictures, and then we will descend to Aguas Calientes to have lunch (not included). We will take a train back to Cuzco.

Cuzco
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Cuzco Airport.

For our trekking excursion it is advisable to take the following things:

Personal documentation.
Trekking boots or comfortable sport shoes.
Shorts and T-shirts.
Long trousers and sweater.
Warm jacket and raincoat.
Gloves, scarf and wool stockings.
Toilet articles.
Insect repellent.
Hat, sunglasses, and solar and lip protection.
Personal first aid kit.
Water bottles, flask and purifying tablets.
Snacks, chocolates and sweets.
Camera.
Flashlight with batteries and an extra light.
