Salta - City Tour
Reception and transfer from Salta Airport to the hotel. City Tour in Salta. Ascent of Cerro San Bernardo. We will visit the Cathedral, the Church of San Francisco, the Town Hall and the Historic Museum of the North, the craft market and the San Bernardo Hill.
The Church of San Francisco is a magnificent Franciscan temple with fine architecture ornaments. The Town Hall was built in different periods, but has a predominant Baroque style. Looms and silver objects can be bought at the handicraft market. San Lorenzo is the summer village in Salta par excellence. |

San Antonio de los Cobres - San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast at the hotel. We will go from Salta city towards San Antonio de Los Cobres, passing by La Quebrada del Toro coinciding with the railway track of the Train to the Clouds. We will see it crossing tunnels and bridges at the beginning of the trip.
We will stop over to see Tastil Ruins and then head for San Antonio de los Cobres, now at a height of 3,700m where we will have lunch. We will depart from San Antonio de los Cobres towards the international border with Chile, going up 4,500m above sea level. We will reach San Pedro de Atacama. |

San Pedro de Atacama
Breakfast at the hostel. We will visit San Pedro's archeological museum and in the afternoon, we will go to Quitor Fortress Ruins, very close to town, and then head for the pre-Colombian ruins of Tulor village and see the beautiful dusk from the dunes in Valle de La Luna (Moon Valley). We will go back to San Pedro de Atacama. |

Hito Cajón - Altiplanic Lagoons (White, Green and Red Lagoons)
Breakfast at the hostel. We will depart from Hito Cajón (4,500m above sea level) along the last 40km on asphalt, and will enter Bolivia. We will then enjoy the colorful spectacle of nature: White Lagoon, Green Lagoon and Red Lagoon.
All the lagoons are plenty of pink flamingoes and thousands of Andean birds. Finally and after a 6-hour trip, we will reach the Red Lagoon at 4,200 m.a.s.l. where there is a refuge with bedrooms, no private bathrooms and no shower. It is the only option. |

Red Lagoon - Uyuni Salt Flat
Breakfast in the refuge of the Red Lagoon. We will head for Chiguana Salt Flat, passing by the stone tree and the lagoons: Ramaditas, Honda, Chiar Kota, Hedionda and Cañapa. Always accompanied by pink flamingoes.
We will be around 4,000m high, the road has much calamine, sandy areas and is in bad state. After the picnic, we will reach a small village in San Juan del Rosario.
After walking around, we will go to Uyuni passing by the world's largest salt flat of the same name with a surface area of 11,000 sq km. Half of the way is over Uyuni Salt Flat.

Uyuni - La Quiaca
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit La Quiaca passing by Tupiza. After complying with customs procedures to return to Argentina, we will do a picnic on the way between Atocha and Tupiza. Once in La Quiaca, we will have a rest to recover from a long day.

Descent from La Puna - La Quebrada de Humahuaca - Salta
Breakfast at the hotel. We will leave from la Quiaca to go down La Quebrada de Humahuaca. We will know the pre-Hispanic towns that form La Quebrada, like Tilcara (visiting the ruins and the museum) and we will stop in Purmamarca for lunch (2,400 m.a.s.l.). We will go towards San Salvador de Jujuy city and then Salta crossing a subtropical forest area. |
