We will be welcomed and transferred from
Jorge Chavez airport to the hotel.

Lima
Breakfast at the hotel. We will get to
know the Colonial Lima, reminiscent of
the viceroyalty times. We will start our
tour visiting Plaza Mayor, which is located
exactly where Francisco Pizarro founded
the city of Lima in 1535. We will also
get to know its Cathedral, the Government
Palace (the change of guard is an attractive
ceremony that takes place every day at
11:45am).
We cannot miss San Francisco Convent
with its beautiful cloister, its office
and catacombs, which served as cemetery
during the Colonial period, and the pyramid-shape
Huaca Huallamarca from the pre-Inca times,
entirely built on sun-dried brick.
After going around the historic center,
we will head for the modern neighborhoods
such as San Isidro and Miraflores with
their charming beaches and the busy commercial
and night life. We will end our tour in
the romantic Love Park, which has a magnificent
sculpture that represents the Andean Lovers
with view to the Pacific Ocean which we
cannot miss.
Then we will go to a restaurant to enjoy
a typical Peruvian lunch, or if we want
something different, we can try international
food. In the afternoon we will have to
choose between the Gold Museum, Larco
Herrera Museum and Amano Museum; we will
visit one of them to discover the Inca
and pre-Inca culture.
In the Gold Museum, we can find gold
pieces from different Inca cultures of
Peru. Larco Herrera Museum shows an important
collection of ceramics, fabrics and craftsmanship
in precious metals. Finally, in Amano
Museum we can see a private collection
of ceramics and fabrics from the pre-Inca
times.

Lima - Arequipa
Breakfast at the hotel. We will be transferred
to Lima airport to fly to Arequipa. During
the rest of the afternoon we will stroll
around the city, where we will get to know
some pinturesque places such as Tingo, Cayma,
Yanahuara y Sachaca and enjoy a beautiful
sight of the Arequipa countryside. We will
also see the the Sabandía Mill. |

Arequipa
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the
second biggest city in Peru: Arequipa. In
Arequipa the colonial architecture is nicely
preserved, and it combines with modern neighborhoods
such as the residential one of Selva Alegre.
We will visit the Plaza de Armas, its
cathedral; the chromium-plated dome of
Compañia de Jesus Church with its
cloisters and the arcade of sculpted ashlars;
the district of Yanahuara; San Francisco
Square and Church; the Chilina Ravine
and the famous Santa Catalina Convent.

Arequipa - Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer from Arequipa
airport to fly to Cuzco. Morning off. In
the afternoon, we will visit the Imperial
City of the Incas: Cuzco. We will stop at
the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) that
is Santo Domingo Church nowadays.
Cuzco stands out because of its typical
streets and its picturesque small squares.
Also we will go to see the ruins surrounding
the city: Sacsayhuaman Fortress, Q’
engo, Puca-Pucara and Tambomachay. We
could not miss the Renaissance Cathedral
in Cuzco, especially its facade and the
inside, where we can appreciate cedar
wood carvings in the choir and the pulpit,
Cuzco school paintings and embossed silverware,
making this Cathedral an unforgettable
place.

Cuzco - Pisac Market - Ollantaytambo - Cuzco
Breakfast at the hotel. We will spend the
whole day getting to know the Sacred Valley
of the Incas. We will stop off at the typical
craft market in the town of Pisac, where
we can appreciate the quality of Peruvian
craftsmanship. Bear in mind that it is only
open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
On Sundays, we can witness a mass in Quechua
language in which the indigenous mayors
or Varayocs take part.
At midday, we will have lunch and then
stroll around the archeological park of
Ollantaytambo next to the city of Cuzco.
Ollantaytambo Park is famous for its typical
main Temple. Then we will go back to Cuzco
to spend the night.

Cusco - Machu Picchu
Breakfast at the hotel.
We will go into Machu Picchu Archeological
Complex. Such complex is located in the
sub-tropical region of Cuzco at 2,350 meters
above sea level. We will go to the train
station where we will start our visit.
We will be dazzled by the stunning and
marvelous Machu Picchu Complex, where
we will visit its squares, temples, platforms,
ceremonial sites and its royal palace,
apart from seeing the famous Inti Watana,
or the Solar Clock and an incredible series
of rock natural spring fountains. We will
have lunch at midday and, after our Machu
Picchu adventure, we will return to the
Imperial City of the Incas.

Machu Picchu - Cusco
Breakfast at the hotel. Day off to stroll
around Machu Picchu once more but more relaxed
this time. In the afternoon, we will get
back to Cuzco. |

Cusco - Puno
Breakfast. We will head for the bus station
to go to Puno. Once there, we will go to
the hotel. |

Uros Island - Chullpas of Sillustani
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning,
we will go to Uros Island. The inhabitants
here are descendants of one of the America’s
most ancient cultures, which were hunters
and fishermen and have the same customs
as their ancestors.
After midday, we will go to the archeological
region of Sillustani situated near Puno
at 4,000 meters above sea level.
The Chullpas are stunning funeral monuments
built by Colla Indians, which are located
on a plateau and surrounded by the picturesque
Umayo Lagoon

Puno - La Paz
Breakfast at the hotel. We will head for
the city of La Paz. Along the way, we will
visit traditional towns such as July, Pomata,
Yunguyo-Casani and also Copacabana, where
we will visit the Cathedral and main square.
Later we will sail the Lake Titikaka
in Catamaran, and visit Sun Island strolling
around the garden and the flight of steps
of the Inca period. On board this catamaran,
we will go along the Strait of Tiquina
and disembark at Chua, where we will take
a bus to La Paz.

La Paz
Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the
ruins of Tiwanaku, which was the capital
city of a civilization that was created
around the year 700 A.C. near La Paz.
Some archeological research was conducted
on these pre-Inca ruins in order to determine
its real age. In one of the latest C14
analyses it was concluded that these ruins
dated back to 1580 years B.C.

La Paz
Breakfast at the hotel. We will stroll
around the city of La Paz and visit its
traditional craft market, San Francisco
Church, the shaman market, Murillo Square
–where is the Government Palace,
the Cathedral and the National Congress–
Jaen Street with its diverse museums,
and the open-air museum from Tiwanaku
culture.
We will also visit the residential neighborhoods
of Obrajes, Calocoto and La Florida. Finally,
we will set out for Valley of the Moon.
